When Bram first came into contact with Salesforce at his previous employer, he immediately knew: I want to do more with this. He has now been working at GoSoniq as a Salesforce Consultant for 3.5 years. In that time he has worked on a variety of projects for clients in real estate, automotive and healthcare, among others. In this blog, Bram shares his story, his favorite projects and about his team.

Starting as a Salesforce Consultant

My introduction to Salesforce actually started at my previous employer, where I was already working within Salesforce environments of different countries. This allowed me to see what was possible within the platform. I noticed that I was spending more and more time on Salesforce-related tasks, even though it was not necessarily expected of me in the position I had at the time. That was a clear signal to me: I liked it, found it challenging and wanted to get involved. At the same time, I was running into a ceiling in my current position: I couldn't continue to grow in the direction I envisioned.

Then 3.5 years ago, I came across GoSoniq's job posting for Salesforce Consultant. This matched exactly what I was looking for. I had been working on obtaining Salesforce certifications for quite some time, but because it wasn't necessarily required for my previous position, it was often put off. Moving into a Salesforce Consultant role at GoSoniq gave me the space to develop further and follow my passion.

Projects at diverse clients

I now work for very diverse clients, from real estate, yacht brokers & car companies to healthcare facilities and everything in between. The best projects I enjoy are those that grow from something small to a large project. For example, we started for a healthcare organization in the Netherlands, and now we serve branches in multiple countries around the world. In doing so, my part has changed to not only providing support for Salesforce, but also advising them on their entire sales process on a global level.

Another special project was the collaboration with a housing association, where we automated the entire process surrounding the installation of solar panels. Where previously several manual steps were required to set this in motion, Salesforce now uses algorithms to ensure that these tasks are performed fully automatically. The automation is now so far advanced that in some cases employees no longer even need to log in to run processes.

Working at GoSoniq

What I like most about my role as a Salesforce Consultant is the challenge and the creativity I can put into it. The client's assignment is often abstract, it is up to me to work out all the steps, form the bigger picture and find the right solution.

We have a very close-knit team at GoSoniq. We know each other well and regularly visit each other. I think that's something very special. Everyone can work very independently, but we also seek each other out when we get stuck. That's a very relaxed working atmosphere.

I would advise new trainees to bring your own opinions, because we think that is very important. Be independent and eager to learn in order to grow. If you see something you want to learn, point it out and take new opportunities. Then you'll be fine at GoSoniq.
